Anne Mahlum is an American entrepreneur, motivational speaker, experienced CEO, business owner and philanthropist.
In 2013, she created [solidcore] and today, the company has more than 80 studios in more than 25 states with 800 employees….and counting.
Anne has successfully raised more than $70M in private equity over the years to be able to grow [solidcore] across the US. Her vision has not wavered over the years. She wants to help as many people as possible create the strongest versions of themselves.
Anne is also the founder and former CEO of Back on My Feet, a national non-profit organization that using running as a vehicle to help those experiencing homelessness change the way they see themselves so they could change the direction of their lives. She created this organization in 2007 and it has helped thousands of individuals achieve employment and more self-sufficient living.
She is also an active philanthropist. She has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to organizations serving people in recovery as well as organizations working to help the wrongly convicted.
Anne has been honored many times for her leadership and entrepreneurial spirit. She was recognized in 2019 by the Washington Business Journal as one of the ‘Women Who Mean Business’ winners and was named both an ‘ABC World News Person of the Week’ and a CNN Hero for her work at Back on My Feet. She has given three Tedx talks about finding your passion letting go of your complacency and helping others. She has also received notable media attention highlighting her work including articles in The Washington Post, The Washington Business Journal and Runner’s World.
An athlete at her core, she has competed 11 marathons and has done one on every continent, yes including Antarctica. She has found a new love in beach volleyball and plays very often. She also enjoys reading, writing and pretty much any board game.
